The B-1B, considered the backbone of America's long-range bomber force, carries the largest conventional payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the US Air Force. 

The F-16 impressed, but the F-35A was to be the showstopper. And it lived up to the expectation.

The defence minister said this "top-down approach" towards solving problems has never been sustainable in the long run. "Often, it leads to debt trap, reaction from the local population, conflict and so on," he said.

The HLFT-42 trainer, which is aimed at preparing fighter pilots comprehensively for the fifth-generation aircraft, incorporates an ultra-modern training suite, enabling hyper-real combat situations to train pilots in a perfectly safe, standardised and efficient flying environment.  

The DRDO pavilion will showcase over 330 products categorised into 12 zones including Combat Aircraft and UAVs, Missiles and Strategic Systems, Engine and Propulsion Systems, Airborne Surveillance Systems, and Sensors Electronic Warfare and Communication Systems.

"We have two F/A 18s on the ground. We also have two F-16 Vipers on the ground, and you should keep your eyes in the sky and watch out for the rest of the week for other aircraft that would be coming later," said Rear Admiral Michael Baker.
