Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) achieved a significant milestone as it completed the maiden flight of the indigenous Light Combat Aircraft Mark 1A fighter aircraft in Bengaluru on Thursday. Lasting 15 minutes, this flight marks a pivotal moment in India's efforts towards indigenous aircraft development.

India and the United States have commenced their bilateral tri-service humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) exercise named 'Tiger Triumph' in Visakhapatnam, extending to Kakinada until March 31. 

The Indian Army has established the Signals Technology Evaluation and Adaptation Group (STEAG), a specialized unit dedicated to researching and evaluating futuristic communication technologies for defence applications.

The helicopters, procured from US defence company Boeing, will be received starting from May, with a delivery delay of three months. The squadron's establishment follows Indian Army pilots and technicians completing training in the United States
