The conference would be attended by senior officials, including the Army chief, Gen Manoj Pande, Vice Chief and all Army Commanders  and interact with the senior officials of the Department of Military Affairs and Department of Defence.

The all-weather loitering ammunition launchers or 'Aerial Targeting System (Extended Range)' should have an endurance of two hours and the capability to manoeuvre at an altitude of a minimum of 300m.

The exercise, which commenced on October 26, saw the participation of fighter aircraft like Sukhoi-30MKI, Rafale, Light Combat Aircraft Tejas and Jaguar from the Indian Air Force's fleet. The coming days will see some intense flying activity over the desert areas

India has signed a deal for 56 C-295MW aircraft, all of which will be fitted with an Electronic Warfare Suite indigenously developed by Defence Public Sector undertakings. A total of 16 C-295MW aircraft will be procured in flyaway condition from Spain while the remaining 40 aircraft will be manufactured by Tata-Airbus consortium in Vadodara. 

The system has been developed keeping in mind chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear warfare and disaster scenarios. If the water is contaminated with nuclear particles or dust, it can purify 2500 litres of water in an hour.
