Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi's 'UP, Bihar bhaiyas' remark has not gone down well with rivals, as the BJP and AAP slammed him.
Ahead of the Punjab assembly elections, former Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas has made a startling allegation that the AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was supportive of separatists in the state.
According to the manifesto, if elected, the coalition will work on a number of pledges, including an increase in the old-age pension, medical insurance, and flying academies.
He further said he would not be able to make false promises and if anyone wanted to hear the same, they would need to listen to speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Akali leader Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Addressing a press conference in Ludhiana, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal further stated that the party would work with the Centre to resolve all internal security matters of the state that shares its border with Pakistan.
Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr S. Karuna Raju further stated that five notifications had been sent to the Aam Aadmi Party, three to the Congress, two to the SAD-BSP, one to the PLC-BJP, and one to Independent candidate Paramjit Singh.
Charanjit Singh Channi stated that he could not attend Rahul Gandhi's rally in Hoshiarpur because his helicopter was denied permission to land.
Rahul Gandhi explained that this would ensure direct payment to farmers for the crops they produce.
"The Aam Aadmi Party makes no concessions when it comes to national security. If we are elected in Punjab, we would collaborate with the Centre on the matter of national security," Kejriwal stated.
Channi stated that the Punjab Congress administration is dedicated to assisting the people in the face of growing prices and poverty. This time, Congress has appointed CM Channi as the CM face.
