After a long gap of nine years, Rohit Sharma made his return to Ranji Trophy for Mumbai during the second round against Jammu and Kashmir at the Sharad Cricket Academy Ground BKC in Mumbai on Thursday, January 23. 

Initially Rohit Sharma didn't confirm his participation in second round of Ranji Trophy when Mumbai selectors approached before squad selection, but later he confirmed his availability for the match against Jammu and Kashmir. 

Amid the discussion on India’s convincing victory against England, Mohammed Shami’s exclusion from the playing XI for first T20I in Kolkata was one of the major talking points.
