The influencer, Charm Daze, said she noticed a sudden surge of young soldiers visiting her workplace, many appearing emotionally distressed. Describing the trend, she said, “Something I’ve noticed lately is all the military guys are coming in, and they’re spending all of their money. They're kind of depressed.”

According to her, several troops openly shared their deployment timelines, with some telling her, “We deploy next week.”

The video, which has garnered millions of views, has sparked widespread debate over operational security (OPSEC), as such disclosures—even in casual conversations—can pose potential risks. The timing is particularly sensitive, with speculation growing over a possible escalation of US military involvement in the Iran conflict.

Daze also highlighted the emotional toll on the soldiers, describing them as “baby-faced” and even referring to some as “foetuses,” underscoring how young many of them are. She added, “To see these young guys and then being like, 'bye,' it's actually making me emotional.”

The report notes that San Diego is home to major US military installations, including Naval Base San Diego, Naval Base Coronado, and Camp Pendleton, making it a key hub for troop movement.

The viral clip comes as President Donald Trump ramps up pressure on Iran, with thousands of US troops, including Marine Expeditionary Units and elements of the 82nd Airborne Division, already repositioned to the region.

Meanwhile, the situation has also stirred concern among families across the US, with growing anxiety and anger over the prospect of deeper military involvement. The episode highlights not just security risks in the digital age, but also the emotional strain on soldiers heading into a potential conflict zone.
