On March 28, a powerful earthquake struck central Myanmar, sending shockwaves across the region. Witnesses reported that people in Yangon, Myanmar’s largest city, and even in Bangkok, Thailand's capital, rushed out of buildings in panic. The United States Geological Survey, confirmed the earthquake’s magnitude at 7.7, with a depth of 10 kilometers, or about 6.2 miles.
