Nikhil Kumaraswamy's supporters attack Sumalatha's proponents in Mandya
Mandya's independent candidate Sumalatha beat JD(S) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy in the 17th Lok Sabha election. However, this victory didn't go down well with his supporters who then got into a fight with backers of Sumalatha.
Bengaluru: Minutes after Mandya's independent candidate Sumalatha began to lead towards victory, JD(S) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy's supporters got into a fight leaving four people injured.
Sumalatha's supporters were attacked with liquor bottles and knives and were left severely injured. The injured victims were shifted to Mandya government hospital for medical treatment.
