Heavy rain in Bengaluru draws snakes out to cars, homes

Two snakes were spotted at JP Nagar 7th Phase and Banasawadi following heavy rains in the city over the weekend

Bengaluru: Following heavy rains in Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday, snake rescuers were put to the test in the city.  A cobra was found inside the toilet bowl in the residence of Pramod Kumar in JP Nagar 7th Phase. A wildlife volunteer contacted by the BBMP helped remove the snake from the residence. Another snake was found on the car bonnet in Banasawadi. Wildlife volunteer Mohan K rescued the baby cobra. The incidents have made the residents in these neighbourhoods fear for their safety.
