Tamil Nadu veterinary surgeons remove 52 kg plastic from cow’s stomach in Chennai
Surgeons of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in Chennai successfully removed 52 kg of plastic from a cow's stomach
Chennai: Surgeons of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University removed 52 kg of plastic waste from the stomach of a cow. Dr Velavan, surgeon, said, "Plastic had occupied 75% of the rumen, which is one of the four chambers of the cow’s stomach.”
He further said that it was a long and complicated operation and it took more than five hours to complete the operation.
