Tamil Nadu Language Row: No State in India Implementing the Three-Language Formula , P Chidambaram

On the three-language issue, Congress leader P Chidambaram says, '... No state in India is implementing the three-language formula. Particularly in the Hindi-speaking states, it is a one-language formula. The common language, the official language, the medium of instruction, and the subject studied is Hindi. If at all another language is taught, it is Sanskrit, which is closely related to Hindi...'
