Official caught taking bribe from farmer falls at feet of ACB personnel
An official attached to the horticulture department was caught taking a Rs 5,000 bribe
After Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths raided and caught a horticulture department deputy director allegedly taking Rs 5,000 bribe, the official fell at the SP's feet and pleaded to be let go.
The accused is identified as Mallikarjun Babu, who allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 to release Rs 1 lakh subsidy. As part of the bribe, he first took Rs 5000.
The officials is also known as 'Yenjilu Kasu Babu' the name he earned for taking a bribe. A case has been registered against him and he is likely to face suspension.
