Income Tax official caught accepting bribe in Bengaluru café
Income tax officials conducted a raid at the residence of an Income Tax official after he was caught accepting a bribe in a café. The I-T official was arrested in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar.
Bengaluru: An Income Tax official was arrested after he was caught accepting a bribe. Nagesh had demanded a bribe to cover up investigations that pertain to a real estate company.
The managing director of the real estate company who wasked to cough up Rs 20 lakh approached the CBI who then laid a trap to catch the I-T official. The arrest was made after he was caught red-handed.
The CBI later raided the residence of the accused I-T official.
