Bengaluru: United Kingdom (UK) based Indian software engineer Vivek Kondappa and movie director Mahesh Gowda, who did a course in London Film Academy, have teamed up to bring a technically sound film to Kannada industry. The interesting thing about the film Mahira is the main character Maya played by Virginia Rodriguez of Malayalam fame Samarpanam. She first trained in an action scene and then was offered a role. To make the film interesting, Raj B Shetty of Ondu Mottaye Kathe fame has been roped in to play a cop. The team felt happy for its Thursday night (July 25) premiere in Bengaluru and hoped that the Sandalwood fans will turn up on weekends and appreciate their maiden venture.
