Veteran actor Rajinikanth on Monday handed over a cheque for Rs 50 lakh to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for CM Public Relief Fund for Covid-19 relief.

Rajinikanth's publicist shared the information on Twitter.

 

 

The contribution from Rajinikanth comes days after industry colleagues Suriya, Ajith and Sivakarthikeyan recently donated to the same cause.

Actor Suriya contributed Rs 1 crore to the CM Public Relief Fund. 

On May 14, Soundarya Rajinikanth, her husband Vishagan, father-in-law Vanangamudi and sister-in-law had met Chief Minister Stalin at his office in Chennai and handed over a cheque for Rs 1 crore for Covid assistance. 

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has wrapped up the Hyderabad schedule of his upcoming film Annaatthe. 

Directed by Siruthai Siva, Annaatthe stars Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena Khushbu, Prakash Raj and Soori in pivotal roles. The film will hit theatres in November.
