Prime Minister Modi had last visited Bangladesh in 2015.
Prime Minister Modi will be the guest of honour at the Bangladesh National Day programme, scheduled to be held on March 26.
He will also hold bilateral consultations with his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina to further strengthening the cooperation between two neighbouring countries.
He will also meet Bangladesh President Md Abdul Hamid.
Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen will also call on the prime minister.
This would be Prime Minister Modi's first visit to a foreign country since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, which highlights the priority India attaches to Bangladesh.
