Rashtriya Janata Dal leader (RJD) Tej Pratap Yadav ordered a policeman to dance during Holi celebration at his residence in Bihar's Patna on Friday. A video of the same has gone viral on social media, sparking outrage.

Tejashwi Yadav arrived at the Veterinary Ground polling booth in Patna, accompanied by his brother and former state minister Tej Pratap Yadav. After exiting his car, Tejashwi Yadav, seated in a wheelchair, was escorted by party workers to the polling booth.

Amid the ongoing Lok Sabha Election campaigning, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav found himself amid a raging controversy after a video of him pushing his party workers from the stage went viral.

The Samajwadi Party chief decided to contest from the Kannauj constituency, a party bastion that was breached by the BJP in 2019, replacing his nephew Tej Pratap Yadav, who had been declared the candidate earlier.

Department officials said on condition of anonymity that Shailesh Kumar, who is married to Yadav's eldest sister and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti, had on Wednesday come to his wife's younger brother's office to congratulate him for securing a cabinet berth. Tej Pratapasked him to take a seat beside him until the meeting was over so that they could have a chat.
