A single-judge bench of the Bombay High Court has stayed the Mumbai special court order against former SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and five others from filing an FIR in a matter related to alleged fraud in an IPO back in 1994.

A Bench of Justice GS Patel and Madhav Jamdar pronounced the verdict in a clutch of petitions challenging the LOCs issued to restrain people who are indebted to public sector banks from travelling abroad.

A body massager cannot be categorised as an adult sex toy and hence cannot be included in the list of items prohibited for import, the Bombay High Court has said. The Commissioner of Customs had confiscated the goods claiming that the body massagers could be used as adult sex toys and such items are prohibited for import.

In a four-page affidavit, Nawab Malik told the bench that it was not his intention to dishonour the court by breaching his own undertaking, but also contended that he was under the impression that responses to questions asked by journalists in interviews weren’t covered by his previous undertakings to the court.
