The 2021 edition of the ISSF World Cup is being held in New Delhi. The competition will act as a crucial warm-up for the shooters before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. India has been phenomenal so far, having won seven gold medals, with more in contention.

In another success for India in the ongoing ISSF World Cup, the nation has won yet another gold. Shooters Ganemat Sekhon and Angad Vir Singh Bajwa has bagged the medal in mixed team skeet shooting.

Both had already finished the qualification round on top, scoring 141. As for the main game, in the gold medal shootout, the pair tamed Olga Panarina and Alexandr Yechshenko of Kazakhstan 33-29.

Meanwhile, another Indian pair of Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Mairaj Ahmad Khan missed out on the bronze. The duo fell a point short to Reem A Sharshani and Rashid Hamad of Qatar.

Earlier, the men's skeet team also won the gold, involving Bajwa, Ahmad and Gurjoat Singh. As for the women, they won the silver, involving Dhaliwal, Sekhon and Karttiki Shaktawat.

India is already at the top of the medals tally, having won six golds, along with four silver and bronze each.
