Rajasthan’s 21-year-old Suman Rao made India proud as she was crowned Miss World Asia 2019 and adjudged the second runner up of Miss World 2019
Bengaluru: 21-year-old Suman Rao was adjudged the second runner up of Miss World 2019 and she also won the title of Miss World Asia 2019 in London.
Born in Aaidana, near Udaipur of Rajasthan, in 1998, Suman Rao has two brothers. Her father Ratan Singh is a jeweller, while her mother Susheela Kuswar is a homemaker.
She studied at Mahatma school of academics and sports in Navi Mumbai and is currently pursuing CA at Mumbai University.
Inthe year 2018, she took part in Miss Navi Mumbai beauty pageant and she became the first runner up.
In June 2019, she won the Miss India title.
Suman Rao is a strong advocate of women empowerment. In an interview, she had said, “There should be gender equality. Everyone should raise their voice for the cause of women empowerment. It is very necessary now. I will also talk about this issue whenever I can.”
She had also added, “I have seen how girls struggle. Luckily in my family, my parents gave me complete freedom. But not every other girl gets such freedom in other families. I want to take up the such cases.”
The Miss World Asia 2019 did not hide her aspirations in trying out cinemas.
“I love cinemas. I would like to work in them.”
Interestingly, Suman has high regards for Deepika Padukone and hopes to model her acting career on the same lines.
