A photo of a Bengaluru man keeping Rs 83 lakh worth cash and gold in front of the Lakshmi idol on the day of Varamahalakshmi festival became a viral sensation.
As the photo started making rounds on the Facebook and WhatsApp, Suresh became a popular figure, and people even started wondering why there is a raid going on in DK Shivakumar's house when there is a person who is rich enough to show kilograms of gold and lakhs of money.
The person is Suresh, a broker in the BDA Division at HSR Layout. He is famous as Broker Suresh or Corner Soori
Stacks of notes worth Rs 73 lakh and 1 kg 23 grams of gold was kept for the Varamahalakshmi pooja. In fact, the idol of Lakshmi was kept on the bed of currency notes, and she was completely decorated with money and gold. Suresh has shared the photos of his family members carrying a basket full of gold and currency notes.
Now the question has come up if he has proper documents for such huge money he had stacked at home.
But when Asianet newsable contacted Suresh, he showed the document where he had withdrawn money from the bank to keep it in front of the Lakshmi idol on the day of the festival. He has also said that he has documents for all his businesses and nothing is illegal.
So far no authorities from the departments concerned have raised any doubts regarding this.
