People at Indiranagar bus stop were seen waiting for the buses as BMTC vehicles were seen passing through without stopping for the people. These buses sported Indira Canteen advertisements and took people only to the Indira Canteens inaugurated today.
Nearly 50 buses from Indiranagar depot alone were seen taking people to the newly inaugurated canteens of the Congress government. These buses also took people to the Convention addressed by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.
In total, it is said that at least 350 buses have been deployed for shipping people to the Congress convention being her at National College Grounds.
This clearly will affect the people, as at many bus stops people were seen waiting for buses, which arrived at a long gap, inconveniencing people.
Today, Indira Canteens were inaugurated at 101 wards in Karnataka. Rest of the Indira Canteens will be opened for the public on October 2, as told by CM Siddaramaiah.
Breakfast is available for people at Rs 5 and lunch at Rs 10 for the people who cannot afford costly food. But the day of inauguration has caused inconvenience to people of Bengaluru with buses being re-routed to the Congress convention venue.
