The unfortunate event occurred in the Thakur Chowk area of Hanumant Vihar, Kanpur, during the wedding procession of Vicky Vajpayee’s son Sharad. As part of the festivities, a mare was brought to participate in the wedding procession and was dancing to the tunes of the music band. In a moment of tragedy, a young child who was playing near the horse was accidentally kicked by the animal. The kick was so forceful that it resulted in fatal injuries, and the child fell to the ground. Despite immediate efforts to rush him to the hospital, the child was declared dead shortly after.

The incident took place around midday when two children were playing near the horse. One of them, the victim, had unknowingly stood behind the mare. As the horse lifted its leg, it delivered a powerful kick that struck the boy. The force of the blow caused his head to hit a nearby platform, and the child was immediately knocked unconscious. Family members and onlookers quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries were too severe, and he was declared dead during treatment at Regency Hospital.

The CCTV footage from a neighbour’s house captured the tragic moment. It shows the lively wedding procession, complete with dancing and festivities when the child is seen passing behind the horse. In an instant, the animal kicks him, sending him crashing to the ground. The joyous atmosphere of the wedding quickly turned into a scene of grief as the child’s family and the wedding guests rushed to help.

The child, named Krishna, was born after a long wait of 12 years, as his parents had prayed for a second child. His sudden and untimely death has left the family devastated. The boy’s father, Suresh Chandra Gupta, an e-rickshaw driver from Yogendra Vihar, explained how the incident occurred. He said that the horse was positioned in front of their house during the wedding procession. While the groom was riding the mare, the animal was encouraged to dance along with the festivities. As the horse lifted its leg to join in, it kicked Krishna, who was playing nearby.
