Members of the All Omnibus Owners' Association expressed their concerns, emphasizing that the government's actions failed to prioritize the safety and comfort of passengers. They also highlighted that alternative arrangements for passengers to continue their journeys were not adequately made.

The concerned association issued an ultimatum to the state government, urging prompt resolution of the matter. They indicated that if their concerns are not addressed, bus operations will be disrupted.

On the other hand, the Tamil Nadu Omnibus Owners' Association distanced itself from the protest. They clarified that the government's enforcement efforts targeted buses operating within the state but registered in other states. As this faction controls around 80% of the state's omnibuses, they assured passengers that their commutes would not be hindered, as they were not part of the strike.

An official from the association said, "More than 1,500 buses are under our Union. Today morning, we suddenly heard news that Omni buses won't function after 6 pm. The strike by other unions is not linked to our association. People don't need to panic. Our association's 1,700 buses will function as usual."

"The impounding of Omni buses is true. That is due to the registration of buses in other states, which is creating losses for Tamil Nadu. We need government support. There is no strike. We don't know about other association strikes. The Southern States Omni Buses Association is in talks with the Transport Minister regarding their strike," the official further said.
