A 27-year-old woman, Anju Devi, is accused of throwing her nine-month-old child off the roof during an argument with her sister in Krishna Nagar. The infant later died at the hospital.

A 27-year-old woman, residing at her maternal home, is accused of throwing her nine-month-old child off the roof on Saturday morning, according to police reports. An officer stated that Anju Devi had an argument with her sister, during which she allegedly threw the infant from the rooftop of their two-story house in Krishna Nagar.

Ballia's Superintendent of Police, Omvir Singh, confirmed that the infant was immediately taken to the district hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors.
Anju Devi has been taken into police custody and is currently being interrogated.

A case has been filed against her under Section 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the BNS, following a complaint from the child's grandmother, Shobha Devi.

The police revealed that Anju Devi had been living with her mother for the past two years after a love marriage. Her elder sister, Manisha, had also been residing in the same house for the past two months.
