Hours after the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the Saryu ghat has been illuminated with hundreds of lamps.

The Indian community in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, commemorated the consecration of Lord Sri Ram at the Ayodhya temple in a distinctive manner. The women organized a Shri Ram Kirtan and Ram Lalla's Aarti in a large gathering while also tuning in to live programs broadcast from Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Modi said, "We have to now lay a strong foundation for India for the next 1,000 years. We take the pledge to build a capable, grand, divine India from this moment... No matter how little we are, we all have a role play in developing a strong India."

In Ayodhya today, the idol form of Shri Ram remains the only aspect yet to be consecrated. Prime Minister Modi emphasized that this represents the lifeblood of unwavering faith in Indian culture, embodied in the form of Shri Ram, symbolizing human values and the highest ideals.

Reflecting on a time when concerns were raised about the potential controversies surrounding the construction of the Ram temple, the Prime Minister remarked, "They should reconsider, as Ram is energy, not fire; a solution, not dispute."

"This Mandir signifies Rashtriya Chetna (National Consciousness). It is not merely a devotional temple but a temple embodying India's philosophy. Ram represents principles, universality, and constancy," added PM Modi.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi conveyed, "Today, I extend my apologies to Lord Shri Ram. There may have been shortcomings in our efforts, sacrifices, and penance that prevented us from accomplishing this task for many centuries. Today, that void has been filled, and I believe Lord Ram will forgive us."

According to Prime Minister Modi, "A nation that rises after breaking the chains of a slave mentality, a nation that draws strength from every historical challenge, creates a new chapter in history. Even a millennium from now, people will reminisce about this date, this moment."

Reflecting on the legal battle for the Ram Mandir, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude, stating, "The legal dispute regarding the existence of Lord Ram persisted for decades. I extend my appreciation to the judiciary of India for delivering justice in this matter."

PM Modi said, "January 22, 2024, is not merely a date; it marks the advent of a new era. The construction of Ram Mandir has filled people with a new energy."

He further expressed, "Following the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the Ram Temple, a surge of enthusiasm and excitement has been steadily growing throughout the entire nation. The ongoing construction has instilled newfound confidence among the people, fostering a sense of national pride. Today, we stand as inheritors of the patience cultivated over centuries, and we have realized the long-awaited dream of the Shri Ram temple."

"I firmly believe and have immense faith that, at this historic moment, devotees of Prabhu Ram are wholly immersed in the significance of this event. Whether in every corner of the country or across the globe, followers of Prabhu Ram are profoundly experiencing the depth of this moment. It is truly divine, the holiest of all moments!" he added.

This ceremony, emblematic of the realization of years of anticipation and reverence, captivated the attention of millions across the nation through live television broadcasts and in temples nationwide.

The skies above the recently constructed Janmabhoomi temple were graced with petals as Army helicopters executed a ceremonial flower shower, commemorating the auspicious moment of the idol's consecration. This visual spectacle not only enhanced the religious proceedings but also infused a sense of national pride and joy into the historic event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reveals the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, marking an extraordinary and emotional moment. During the consecration ceremony, conducted with strict adherence to Vedic rituals, resonant chants, and hymns created a solemn and uplifting atmosphere. 

The idol of Ram Lalla, deeply cherished by millions, was consecrated with grandeur and religious fervour, signifying the realization of a longstanding aspiration for devotees worldwide.

Earlier, donned in a golden kurta paired with a cream dhoti and patka, PM Modi entered the temple's inner sanctum, carrying a silver umbrella on a folded red dupatta. The prime minister then performed the 'Sankalp' for the consecration ceremony.

Following the ceremony, PM Modi is scheduled to address a gathering and visit Kuber Tila. Additionally, he plans to engage with the workers involved in the construction of the temple.
