The Loka Kerala Sabha (LKS), comprising members of the Kerala State Legislature, Members of Parliament, and elected nominees from Non-Resident Keralites, totaling 351 members, is set to convene its fourth edition. The state government has allocated Rs 2 crore for the event amid a severe financial crisis in Kerala.

Kerala witnessed heavy rainfall on Thursday (May 16) amid intense heat in the state. The IMD has predicted intense rainfall in the coming days and an orange and a yellow alert has been sounded in various districts till May 20.

In the serious medical negligence case at Kozhikode Medical College hospital, the doctor admitted that tongue surgery was performed on the four-year-old girl without the family's consent. However, he assured that there would be no complications from the surgery.
