Rahul Gandhi's re-entry into the Lok Sabha took place on Monday, following his reinstatement after the Supreme Court intervened to halt his conviction in a defamation case linked to his "Modi surname" comment.

During the discussion on the 'no-confidence motion' targeting the existing BJP-led government, INDIA Members of Parliament (MPs) strongly advocated for the resignation of Chief Minister Biren Singh. The Manipur issue was also brought into focus by National Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule, who emphasized that the Manipur Chief Minister should step down due to the government's alleged disgraceful treatment of women.

Meanwhile, chaos ensued as slogans erupted shortly after Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi presented his arguments during the discussion on the no-confidence motion, causing disruption to the BJP's response. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey initiated the no-confidence motion debate in Lok Sabha after Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi.

Highlighting the issue of the Supreme Court's decision to stay Rahul Gandhi's conviction in the 'Modi' surname remark case, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey emphasized that this has led to the restoration of his membership.

Dubey stated, "The Supreme Court has not issued a judgement but a stay order... Despite this, he refuses to apologize... Moreover, he claims 'I am not Savarkar' - an assertion that you can never equate with Savarkar..."

After Dubey, DMK MP TR Baalu spoke in the Lok Sabha. He said, "Minorities of Manipur have been killed ruthlessly. 143 people have been killed. 65,000 people have fled the state. Two women were stripped, gang-raped and paraded naked on the streets of Manipur...The CM is helpless. The PM is not coming to the Parliament and he has not gone to the state. Whereas, I.N.D.I.A. parties went there and understood what has happened."

Continuing the discussion further, TMC MP Saugata Roy said, "This Government is government of the heartless. They are sending delegation to West Bengal on any plea. But not one delegation has gone to Manipur where our brothers and sisters are dying...You have no compassion and that is why you have not gone to Manipur like other parties."

Union minister Kiren Rijiju during no-confidence motion debate in Lok Sabha said: "...The days are gone when foreign powers would tell India what to do and what not to do...Today, no foreign power can interfere in our internal matters."

"When there is any unrest in any northeastern state it affects the entire northeast region and the country," said Congress MP Manish Tewari during no-confidence motion debate in Lok Sabha.

Earlier. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Tuesday initiated the debate on the No Confidence Motion with a focused address after Lok Sabha resumed. The lower house has greenlit an extensive 12-hour discourse regarding the no-confidence motion against the government, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi poised to lead the opposition front on Tuesday.

Deputy leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, the initiator of the no-confidence motion, alongside Manish Tiwari and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, are anticipated to be the additional speakers representing the Congress.

He asserted, "The No Confidence Motion is not just a matter of numbers; it is about ensuring justice for Manipur. Today, I stand here to move the Motion that this House expresses a lack of confidence in the Government. This motion has been put forth by INDIA, and it resonates with the call for justice from the people of Manipur."

"PM took a 'maun vrat' to not speak in the Parliament. So, we had to bring the No Confidence Motion to break his silence. We have three questions for him - 1) Why did he not visit Manipur to date? 2) Why did it take almost 80 days to finally speak on Manipur and when he did speak it was just for 30 seconds? 3) Why has the CM not sacked the Manipur CM so far?," the Congress MP said.

"The Prime Minister must come to terms with the fact that his double-engine government, particularly in Manipur, has faced significant failures. This grim reality is mirrored by the unfortunate loss of 150 lives in Manipur, the destruction of about 5000 residences, the displacement of roughly 60,000 individuals into relief camps, and the lodging of approximately 6500 FIRs," he added.
