Bengaluru: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued 'Orange Alert' to all the 30 districts of Karnataka, following prediction of heavy rains over the next four days in various parts of the state.
There is depression over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, and the monsoon has become active indicating at least 65 cm to 115 cm rainfall over the next 48 hours in various parts of 30 districts in the state.
However, as the intensity of rainfall is expected to be higher in three coastal districts and all districts of south and north interior regions, a 'Yellow Alert' has been issued in these regions.
On Sunday, Kittur in Belgaum received the highest rainfall (15 cm), followed by Haliyal in Uttara Kannada (9 cm) Londa in Belagavi (8 cm) Belthangadi in Dakshina Kannada district (7 cm).
