Former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat suffers chest injury after his car hits divider in Udham Singh Nagar

Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat narrowly escaped a severe car accident on his way from Haldwani to Udham Singh Nagar's Kashipur. The incident occurred on Tuesday (October 24) when Rawat's car collided with a divider. After the collision, Rawat reported feeling mild tremors and was immediately checked by doctors to ensure his well-being.

In a reassuring post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Rawat stated, "The doctors said everything was fine and discharged me…Some friends have posted about the incident on social media which may raise concerns among a few. There is nothing to be worried about. I am absolutely fine, and so are my colleagues." He made these comments in Hindi to alleviate concerns among his supporters.

Initial reports suggested that Rawat had sustained chest injuries during the accident. Alongside the former Chief Minister, his personal security officer and other associates who were traveling with him also sustained injuries during the collision.

According to Amar Ujala, as reported by News18, the incident took place at 12:15 am. While Rawat did suffer serious wounds, his driver and gunner miraculously escaped death. After complaining of chest pain, Rawat was promptly taken to a hospital for a thorough medical examination.

This incident raised concerns among Rawat's supporters, who were relieved to hear that he is in stable condition and that his injuries are not life-threatening. The accident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of life and the importance of taking precautions while on the road.
