The judge hearing the Sandalwood drug scandal case received a threat letter attached to explosive-like material which was dropped off in the CCH court premises in Bengaluru yesterday.
Seeking bail for Sandalwood drug case accused actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani, the sender of the letter threatened to 'act against the judge' if the demand isn't met.
The letter also demanded immediate release of hundreds of rioters arrested during the August 11 Bengaluru riots.
Letters were also sent to Bengaluru Police Commissioner Kamal Pant, Joint Commissioner of Crime Sandeep Patil and the Deputy Commissioner, Crime Branch seeking the same.
Commissioner Kamal Pant was quoted as saying "We have taken up a case in this regard and investigation has begun."
