A general view of people holding banners and shouting slogans as they continue to protest against the Constitutional Court ruling on tightening the abortion law on October 30, 2020 in Warsaw, Poland. Today, a mass protest in the Capital brings together citizens from around the country to march from the old town, towards the Prime Minister’s Office and then the headquarters of Law and Justice party. Yesterday, The National Public Prosecutor prepared guidelines for investigators on how to deal with those organising or inciting mass protests on abortion. According to the guidelines, organizers of protests may face up to eight years in prison. On October 22nd, the country's Constitutional Tribunal ruled in favour of a ban on abortions in cases of fetal defects, tightening Poland's restrictive abortion laws even further. The decision means that abortions will only be permitted in cases of rape, incest or when the mother's health is at risk.. (Photo by Omar Marques/Getty Images)
