Prevention is better than cure which is essential for heart health. Health conditions, age, lifestyle and family history can increase heart disease risk. Get active: A healthy heart and exercise are necessary. Exercise not only helps you g strengthen your core and gain muscles. It is advised to do 75 minutes of intense activity, running or aerobic, and 150 minutes of moderate exercise like brisk walking, swimming and biking each week. Additionally, in your daily routine, incorporate exercise and take frequent breaks to stretch or walk if you work at a desk.

Eat healthy fats: All fats are not considered equal. Foods can contain fats that increase good cholesterol, lower bad cholesterol and lessen your heart disease. Unhealthy fats that arteries clog raise your blood cholesterol levels and make you gain weight. Limit trans fats, which are present in prepackaged meals, and margarine, and reduce saturated fats, which are present in butter, dairy products high-fat meats. Eat more foods like salmon, nuts, veggies and seeds rich in healthy fats.
