Bengaluru Tragedy: 11-Month-Old Baby Drowns in Bucket, Devastated Mother Dies by Suicide
In a tragic Bengaluru incident, an 11-month-old baby drowned in a bucket while his mother stepped away briefly. Devastated and blaming herself, the techie mother died by suicide, leaving behind a note.

A heartbreaking incident

The techie couple
The deceased were 29-year-old Prathibha and her 11-month-old son, Agastya. Prathibha was a software engineer working from home in Bhairaveshwara Nagar. Her husband, Mahantesh (pictured), is also a techie. Reports say only Prathibha and the baby were at home when the incident happened.

Husband discovered the tragedy
The whole incident came to light only when the husband, Mahantesh, returned home at night. His wife didn't open the door, so he used his own key to get in. Mahantesh told the police he found Prathibha's body hanging and the baby's body lying on the bed.
The death note
In her death note, Prathibha wrote: 'I had gone to the terrace to get the dry clothes. The baby must have crawled into the bathroom while playing and fell into the bucket. I couldn't save my child. I am responsible for my baby's death. That is why I am ending my life.'
