Tathagata Roy lodges complaint against Saayoni Ghosh
Former Tripura Governor and Bengal BJP leader Tathagata Roy filed a police complaint against Tollywood actress Saayoni Ghosh for allegedly hurting his religious sentiments.

<p>In the complaint, Tathagata Roy wrote, “I am an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and I have travelled to Kailash-Mansarovar in Tibet on foot in 196 to offer puja to him. The enclosed picture has seriously insulted my religious beliefs. This is an offence u/s 25A IPC, among other laws. I, therefore, request you to take cognizance of the offence and initiate appropriate proceedings against the said Saayoni Ghosh."</p>

<p>Responding to Tathagata Roy, Saayoni Ghosh said, “The moment I was made aware of that the post, I heavily criticized it and deleted it immediately after informing the public. I never had any intention to hurt the sentiment of my own religion.”</p>
