The IMD has predicted consecutive spells of rain starting Friday, likely to continue through the weekend. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–60 kmph may affect Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana during this period.

An active western disturbance is driving this change, bringing light to moderate rainfall across northwest India between April 2 and 5. Peak activity is expected on April 3 and 4, with heavier rainfall forecast in the Kashmir Valley.
