Hema Malini BREAKS Silence On Late Husband Dharmendra; Calls It 'Indescribable' Loss

Hema Malini took to Twitter three days after Dharmendra’s death, sharing how deeply she felt his absence. She said he had been much more than just a husband — he was her friend, her guide, and the person she always turned to in moments of need. She recalled how warmly he connected with her family and how his humility, despite being such a huge star, made him truly special.

She admitted that describing her grief was nearly impossible. After spending a lifetime together, she felt a painful emptiness that she said would stay with her forever. The memories they created together, she added, were now all she had to hold on to.

Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, bringing an end to an era in Indian cinema. His final rites were held at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle. Many from the film fraternity — including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and several others — came to offer their last respects and stand with the Deol family.

Remembering a Legend

The actor, lovingly called the He-Man of Bollywood, had been unwell for some time and was briefly admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier in November. He is survived by his first wife Prakash Kaur, his second wife Hema Malini, and all his children. With iconic films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, and Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke to his name, Dharmendra leaves behind a legacy that continues to define Hindi cinema. The wave of tributes from across the country shows just how deeply he was loved.
