It got mixed reviews from critics, but still managed to pull in good collections at the box office, even in its second week. The film has now completed 15 days. Reports say 'Dacoit' has earned Rs 53 crore so far. The film's distributor share is Rs 26 crore, with a net collection of Rs 33 crore across India. Overseas, it has reportedly made around Rs 13 crore. On its 15th day, the movie collected about 30 lakhs, which is quite decent for its third week. It has a chance to earn more this Saturday and Sunday. Overall, the film's lifetime collection might reach between Rs 55-58 crore.

The film's theatrical business was valued at Rs 31 crore. To break even, it needs to collect Rs 32 crore, which means a gross of around Rs 65 crore. But reaching that target looks tough. It might add another 50 lakh share in the next two days before its theatrical run ends next week. If this happens, the movie could face a loss of about six to seven crore rupees, landing it in the 'flop' category. The producers, however, are safe as they made a table profit before release. It's the buyers who might face losses. Adivi Sesh's films are usually a safe bet, but it seems he's taking a big hit for the first time with this movie.

Besides Adivi Sesh and Mrunal, 'Dacoit' also features Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, and Sunil in key roles. Supriya Yarlagadda produced the film, marking her solo production debut. The story follows a hero who escapes jail to get revenge on his girlfriend after she frames him for his own brother's murder. But what does he see in her that makes him ready to die for her? While the love story and action scenes are good, the film couldn't quite connect with the audience emotionally.
