It has been a calm and composed ride for Team India, as it hammered South Africa by seven wickets in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday. Consequently, the Men in Blue took the series 2-1, while it was another ODI series win for stand-in skipper Shikhar Dhawan, who remains unbeaten in the ODIs as the captain. Meanwhile, following the series triumph, he expressed his gladness and delight in getting the job done again. He said he believed in his boys and is also enjoying his journey. At the same time, he looks to keep performing for the side consistently.

During the post-match presentation, Dhawan mentioned, "I am proud of the boys, the way they played in the series. The way they carried the responsibility and showed maturity. I want to thank the support staff. We conducted a lot of character in the first game, we dropped a few catches, but we never really put pressure on ourselves."

"We tried to stick to the process. I am enjoying the journey. I'll try to keep performing well for my team. The boys showed great character on such tough batting pitches. The bowlers were clinical today," added Dhawan, whose only series loss as captain was last year during a Twenty20 International (T20) series in Sri Lanka.

In the meantime, Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj has been adjudged the Man of the Series, as he cited, "Performing against a good team gives you a lot of confidence. I had to take responsibility. I try to figure out the right lengths at the start of the innings. As a fast bowler, you need that fire and passion inside you. Happy with my performance, and happy to get this Player of the Series award."
