<p>Meanwhile, former Australian woman cricketer Lisa Sthalekar has alleged that the Board of Control for Cricket in India has not acted humanely and accused it of abandoning the Indian middle-order batsman. She has also alleged that the board hasn't checked Veda since her twin family tragedies, besides dropping her from the One-Day International squad for the upcoming England tour.</p>

If there was a need for a player association in (India) surely it is now.
