The Telangana government already provides free travel for women across the state under the Mahalaxmi scheme, applicable to Pallevelugu and Express buses. TS RTC MD Sajjannar
The discount applies to all bus services from Hyderabad to Bangalore. RTC MD Sajjanar announced a 10% discount on current fares, saving passengers between Rs. 100 and Rs. 160. A large number of IT employees and students travel between Hyderabad and Bangalore, especially on weekends. TSRTC likely introduced this discount to compete with private transport.
