In an exclusive chat with a media house, Hegde said that she used to refer to Salman Khan as 'bhai' when they had just met, as he is familiar with that name in the industry.

The premiere of Pooja Hegde's upcoming movie, 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', is just around the corner. She is coupled with Salman Khan in the action comedy for the first time, and their chemistry in songs like 'Naiyo Lagda' and 'Jee Rahe The Hum' has drawn much attention. Despite having a love relationship, she refers to him as "bhai" in the movie trailer, which puts the crowd in fits of laughter. And now, Pooja admits that she did call Salman "bhai" when they first met in an exclusive interview with News18.

Hegde told the media house: "In the beginning, when I had just met him, I called him bhai. That's because everyone calls him that. But it's a very natural tendency to call him bhai as the whole world calls him so. In the film, everyone calls him bhaijaan. So, we played on that in a comic way. My character doesn't want to call him bhai, and she keeps making these mistakes. People have liked that, and they're finding it funny."

He told me I could call him Salman too, but I can't (laughs)! At one point, I called him Salman sir, but he started calling me ma'am. I told him not to do that. Now, we've settled at SK."

'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' music has also garnered media attention. Ram Charan appears in the dance number 'Yentamma' while Salman sings 'Jee Rahe The Hum'. Pooja feels lucky to have been connected to numerous chart-topping songs throughout her career.

The fact that she could work with Ram for the third time on Yentamma makes it even more memorable for the Cirkus (2022) and Housefull 4 (2019) actor. She previously had a cameo appearance in the song 'Jigelu Rani' from his 2018 film Rangastalam, and they later starred alongside one another in Acharya (2022).

Speaking of Ram's presence in the film, Pooja told the media house: "We were shooting in Hyderabad. He met Salman sir and told him he also wanted to be a part of our film. Everyone thought he was joking. I don't know what happened after I left, but he came to the set the next day, and I saw him in his look. I think it was lovely of him to do the song. I believe it was his idea to do it."
