Padukone was asked about her married life when Singh suddenly dropped in from his shoot nearby, making the 'Piku' actress said it is a 'cosmic thing to have happened'. The 'Ramleela' and 'Bajirao Mastani couple were seen holding hands and blushing. After Singh took his leave, Padukone answered the interviewer's question by saying, "I've married my best friend." She said that she could be her most vulnerable self around him. "It is my happy place," she added.
After TIME magazine posted this video of theirs on Instagram, a netizen versus Deepveer fans battle ensued, where their fans defended them against some faceless trolls. One fan expressed how Indians disrespect their celebrities: "As always...Indians hate Indians in the comment section...! No one hates India as its people!!!!!"
