Samantha Ruth Prabhu appears to be reacting to Shaakuntalam's box office failure and Telugu producer-director Chittibabu's criticisms about her career.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu seems to be responding to the box office failure of her latest film Shaakuntalam and legendary Telugu producer-director Chittibabu's comments on her career. Shaakutalam was said to be suffering at the box office on Tuesday morning.
After four days, the film has not reached Rs 10 crore at the domestic box office. This is a concerning tendency, given that the film was created on a massive budget of approximately Rs 65 crore. Shaakuntalam appears to be heading towards disaster at this pace.
To top it all off, Chittibabu criticised the actress following the film's failure. Samantha tweeted a photo with a quotation from the Bhagwat Gita regarding karma, seemingly in response to the film's premiere.

Samantha shared a photo on Instagram, where we can see her seated in her car and lost in thoughts. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Karmanye vadhika raste, Ma phaleshu kadachana, Ma karma phala he tur bhuh, Ma te sangotsva karmani."
The quote loosely decodes to, “You have a right over your action and not its fruits (because we have no control over it). Let’s not do work encouraged by the fruit, and let’s not get stuck to it. But that does not mean we should settle for inaction."

Meanwhile, Chittibabu alleged in an interview with Filmy Looks that Samantha's "star heroine" career has finished and that she is now using "cheap tactics" to sell her films. "After her divorce, Samantha performed the Oo Antava item song in Pushpa The Rise." She did it to make a living. She is taking any offers she receives after losing her celebrity status. Her career as the heroine is over, and she will never be a celebrity again. "She should keep going with the offers she gets," he was reported as saying by Siasat.com.
