Apple Store launch in Mumbai: Madhuri Dixit welcomes Tim Cook with Vada Pao; many celebs pose with Apple CEO

Apple CEO Tim Cook is in Mumbai for the major store opening on Tuesday, and while in Mumbai, do as the Mumbaikars do. On his Monday itinerary, Mr Cook had vada pav, the city's favourite snack, and he did so in opulent company. No less than actress Madhuri Dixit introduced Mr Cook to the wonders of vada pav at Swati Snacks, a small café with two locations in Mumbai. Ms Dixit shared a photo of herself and Tim Cook, both holding a vada pav and a table full of plates.

Madhuri took to Twitter to share a picture with Tim Cook. Madhuri Dixit wrote, "Can’t think of a better welcome to Mumbai than Vada Pav ( sic)." Tim Cook thanked Madhuri for introducing him to Vada pao. He wrote, "Thanks @madhuridixit for introducing me to my very first Vada Pav — it was delicious! (sic)."

Not just Madhuri, several Bollywood celebs like Raveena Tandon, AR Rahman, Mouni Roy, Suraj Nambiar, singer Armaan Malik, and Farah Khan Ali, among others, arrived at the private store launch event on Monday.

Celebrities took to their social media handles and shared some pics with the Apple CEO. Padma Shri Raveena Tandon took to her Instagram account and shared a string of pictures from the event which she captioned, “A night out at @apple .. #timcook."

Singer Armaan Malik shared a picture with Tim on his Instagram and captioned it, "Met two legends and saw my song Sun Maahi at the launch of India's first Apple store! What a lovely evening."

AR Rahman shared a picture and captioned it, "What are we talking about? Any guesses? @apple #timcook #applestoremumbai."

Neha Dhupia wrote, "What a store ... what a story #timcook."

Before the retail store opened, Tim Cook took a tour of Mumbai. It is reported that Cook have met some senior industrialists and businessmen, including Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, at Mukesh Ambani's residence in Antilla for a business meeting.
