'Satyaprem Ki Katha' box office collection: Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani's film crosses Rs 50 crores

Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' has received immense love from people, which is reflected in its first-week box office collection. The film opened with a collection of 9.25 crores on Thursday, June 29. However, on Day 2, the collection dropped to 7 crores. But the box office collection soon picked with Day 3 seeing a 10.10 crores collection and Day 4, Sunday saw 12.15 crores collection. By Wednesday, the film crossed the 50 crores mark. And on Thursday, the film total amounted to 53.21 crores Nett.

Now running toward its next weekend with great word of mouth, the film is expected to do well. Also, with its music hitting the chartbuster, the box office numbers are expected to jump.

The film marks a massive collaboration between Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Namah Pictures. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film boasts of an ensemble cast in a Gujarati setup. 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' stars Supriya Pathak and Gajraj Rao as Satyaprem's (Kartik) parents and Anuradha Patel and Siddharth Randeria as Katha (Kiara)'s parents. Shikha Talsania plays Kartik's sister in the film which also stars Rajpal Yadav.

The song ‘Naseeb Se while Aaj Ke Baad’ is an intense romantic number, and has garnered much craze. The hit Pakistani number ‘Pasoori’ has also been recreated as ‘Pasoori Nu’ by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar for the film. As the movie is made in a Gujrati setting, a Garba dance number is must. This is brought my the song ‘Sun Sajni’ and ‘Gujju Pataka’.
