“Today is the fourth round of voting in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. I request all the voters to make their contribution to strengthening the democracy by using their valuable votes,” PM Modi tweeted.

Among the major parties, 50 (88 per cent) of the BJP's 57 candidates, 48 (84 per cent) of the SP's 57 candidates, 44 (75 per cent) of the BSP's 59 candidates, 28 (48 per cent) of the Congress's 58 candidates, and 16 (36 per cent) of the AAP's 45 candidates have declared assets worth more than Rs 1 crore.  

Reena Dwivedi, a clerk in the Public Works Department's Lucknow office, is back on the job for the 2022 assembly elections. She will be deployed as a poll worker in Mohanlalganj this time. 

Nine persons have lost their lives while a dozen continue to remain critical after they consumed poisonous liquor purchased allegedly from the shop owned by the nephew of sitting Samajwadi Party candidate Ramakant Yadav in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh.

In a quote from the Bollywood film 'Sholay,' Kejriwal remarked, "100 kilometres away when someone engages in corruption, the mother says- son sleep or else Kejriwal will come."  

Yadav stated during a public gathering here, "This administration (BJP) is not for the poor, but for the wealthy. We won't receive a loan easily, and we'll have to put up our property and house as collateral for a mortgage, but large industrialists fled after stealing banks."  

The decision comes just after the Mulayam family joined forces to campaign for former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in his Karhal Assembly district. Shivpal's name was absent from the Samajwadi Party's list of campaigners provided prior to the Assembly elections.  

In an interview with PTI, Adityanath said that the other parties were merely competing for second place and that he was unconcerned about his own election from Gorakhpur Urban.

“You must have seen, the father who was pushed from the stage was humiliated and the party was captured, he had to plead to him for saving the seat," the PM said.

Talking to the media after casting his vote in Saifai, he said that he had won the Jaswant Nagar seat five times consecutively with a huge margin, but this time he has a competition with his nephew Akhilesh Yadav on who will be winning with a higher margin.
