The Afghanistan cricket team put up a brave performance as they beat Pakistan after a brilliant performance on Monday. They won the man with their excellent top-order batting lineup that saw the match out.

Pakistan put up a strong display with the bat to power towards a fine total. Iftikhar Ahmed put up an aggressive display amidst the 'Chacha Chacha' chants at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first. 

Pakistan cricket team was playing well in the starting phase of the game. However, they lost Imam Ul Haq for 17 runs in the tenth over. Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafique couldn't put up a strong partnership. Though they were influential in their inning.

Babar Azam scored 74 runs while Abdullah Shafique smashed 58 runs from 75 balls. Pakistan captain Babar Azam got huge cheers from the Chennai crowd as he played a patient inning. Mohammed Rizwan was out for cheap after relentlessly trying to play sweep.

Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan had a brilliant partnership that took them to 282 runs with a loss of 7 wickets. Afghanistan cricket team on the other hand was in no comparison toward Pakistan as they were in a league of their own on Monday.

They had a striking first wicket partnership of 130 runs which broke the confidence of Pakistani players. It was a shocker for them as their spinners were yet again ineffective on a pitch that was helping spinners. Rahmanullah Gurbaz smashed 65 runs.

Even after his dismissal, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah put up a fine partnership of 60 runs. This eventually saw the match out for Afghanistan as they went on to beat the Pakistan cricket team by eight wickets with six balls remaining.
