Petrol and diesel prices on Saturday (July 22) remained relatively steady in major cities like New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai. While there have been no significant fluctuations in petrol and diesel prices over the past few months, individual cities may experience daily changes in pricing.

The variations in fuel and diesel costs across states can be attributed to factors like Value Added Tax (VAT), freight charges, municipal levies, and other regional influences.

As of now, in New Delhi, petrol is priced at Rs 96.72 per litre, and diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol commands a higher rate of Rs 106.31 per litre, with diesel following suit at Rs 94.27 per litre. In Kolkata, the cost of petrol stands at Rs 106.31 per litre, and diesel is priced at Rs 92.76 per litre.
